I'm happy to report that it is indeed all systems go with the potential new client with whom I met last week.  I'm especially pleased as it is a prestigious and well-established business for whom I did a great deal of work many years ago until it changed hands.  It has now changed hands once again and it is a privilege, not to mention an exciting prospect, to be once more on board in a creative capacity.  An added bonus is that I will be working in collaboration with a website designer who also happens to be an extremely close friend.  Work doesn't get much better than this!  With several projects active right now it will be several weeks until I can apply all my literary and creative might to this one but I'm looking forward to it hugely.

Like the proverbial poor, bare-footed cobbler's children my own blog has been sadly neglected as I'm so busy updating everyone else's and working to perfect their websites and business literature.  So, with apologies to my current clients (to whom I am dedicating every waking moment - other than this particular one right now - to their particular projects) I decided to address the situation. 

Here I sit in my 21st century equivalent of a garret, a professional, freelance writer of some 20 years standing supposedly at the cutting edge of all things literate and cultural and what you are reading is my first ever blog.  To be more accurate, it is the first ever blog written with my by-line as I’ve written many for clients, but my hope is to make this very different.
